Timo Autiokari, about me

A short introduction,

I'm BSc EE and I work as a Components Specialist for a heavy weight international corporation that has its' roots here in Finland. My main responsibility is in the area of construction- and failure-analysis of integrated circuits.

In doing that I operate systems like Scanning Electron Microsope (largely imaging),  Energy Dispersive Spectrometer, (partly imaging), X-ray Radiography (solely imaging) and I do Optical Microscopy, Macroscopy and Photographic Imaging that gets documented with Canon EOS*DCS 3 digital camera (solely imaging). For documentation purposes I use an Umax Powerlook III scanner.

This work also involves a method called Destructive Physical Analysis that is actually advanced chemical and micro-mechanical sample preparation (not at all about imaging).

It also involves material analysis, electronics, circuit diagram analysis, parametric measurements, electron physics, characterization, statistical data analysis, training, technical contacts with component vendors and much more. In overall it is quite interesting job and actually fun.

I'm not going to tell you about my private life as then it would not be private anymore !
